China-Europe Smart Agriculture Innovation Fund Successfully Signed in Munich

On May 19, the “China (Guangdong) – Germany Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Conference” was successfully held in Munich, Germany. Approximately 100 representatives from government departments, industry associations, enterprises and other relevant institutions from China and Germany attended the event. During the conference, the China-Europe Smart Agriculture Innovation Fund, with an initial investment of USD 10 million, was successfully signed by Guangdong China-Europe Enterprise Cooperation Promotion Center, which is the investor of China-Europe (Duisburg) Innovation Center (CEIC). The conference aimed to further promote industrial innovation and economic and trade exchanges between China’s Guangdong Province and the State of Bavaria, while deepening two-way cooperation in industrial investment, technological innovation and related sectors. Inspector at Level 2 of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province Huang Xin, Commercial Counsellor at the Chinese Consulate General in Munich Guo Fang, Head of Department International Economic Relations, Location Policy, Invest in Bavaria under the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs Gudrun Weidmann, Director of Guangdong Economic & Trade Office in Europe (Munich) Luo Wenqi, and CEIC’s Chairman Zheng Yongqiang attended the event.

During the sharing session, CEIC’s General Manager Liao Lingyun delivered a presentation titled “Current China-Germany Cooperation in Industrial Innovation”. Starting from the broader context of China-Germany cooperation and the complementary strengths of their respective industries, he also highlighted successful practical cases of projects already established at the China-Europe (Duisburg) Innovation Center. The presentation provided an in-depth analysis and forward-looking perspective on two-way cooperation in industrial innovation between China and Germany, offering valuable insights for Chinese enterprises and other institutions seeking to expand their business presence in Europe.
